If you like to golf, Banff and the surrounding areas are home to some of the Canada's most beautiful golf courses. We recommend checking out the Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Course and the Kananaskis Country Golf Course (note: tee times for this course fill up fast upon being released in the spring - please book early if you would like to secure a tee time).
There are many wonderful hikes around Banff, ranging from easy to difficult. Some popular hikes are listed at the website linked below.
Don't feel like hiking but still want a view of the mountains? Consider taking the Banff Gondola. There is a museum, restaurant and café at the top of the Gondola, as well as stellar views of the town of Banff and rocky mountains.
You have probably heard of Lake Louise and its beautiful turquoise waters. It is definitely worth a visit. Please note, this is a very popular tourist attraction and parking is limited by the lake. We recommend getting there early (think, before sunrise) or consider taking a shuttle, the details of which can be found at the website below.
If you ask Liz, she'll tell you the most beautiful lake in Canada is Moraine Lake. Unfortunately, it is difficult to get to as the only way to get there is by taking a shuttle (but trust us, worth a visit). Please see the website below for details on the shuttles.
Feel like renting a canoe? A paddleboard? Maybe going whitewater rafting? Check out the below website for some options in the Banff and surrounding area.
